Homewreck
Homewreck is part of a spatial composition FERAL FREQUENCIES composed by the Wilding AI collective developed during a two-week residency at Laboratoire formes · ondes at Université de Montréal and premiered at SAT in August 2025 in affiliation with the MUTEK festival program. For Berlin Art Week, October 2025, FERAL FREQUENCIES was installed in Saal 2 of Funkhaus as part of the Spatial Festival curated by MONOM. The work is the culmination of a year of research into AI-driven sound spatialization, exploring themes such as Emotional Sovereignty, Data That Matters, The Algorithmic Shape of Stories, and Breaking Machines / Making Kin. Wilding AI is a nomadic, polymorphic research-creation lab that resists the commodification of AI, instead engaging with it poetically and experimentally.
The collective includes Pía Baltazar, Beth Coleman, Sahar Homami, Daniela Huerta, Maurice Jones, Tegan Maharaj, Heu Hsu, Alexandre Saunier, Gadi Sassoon, Debashis Sinha, Nao Tokui, and Portrait XO.
